Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of QrcodeGen.cc (the "Site"), a free QR code generator and collection of small browser-based utility tools. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.
1. What the Site provides
QrcodeGen.cc lets you create static QR codes for URLs, WiFi networks, contact cards (vCard), WhatsApp chats, SMS messages, email, map locations, calendar events, Google review links and EPC / SEPA payment data. It also offers small helper tools such as a password generator, random number generator, UUID generator, colour generator and placeholder text generator.
All of these are provided free of charge and without registration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site, or the minimum age required in your country. By using the Site you confirm that you meet that requirement.
3. Licence and permitted use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Site for personal or business purposes. The QR code images you generate are yours to use: you may print them, publish them on packaging, menus, business cards, receipts, posters, invoices and other materials, including commercial ones.
4. What you must not do
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for anything unlawful, or to generate QR codes that link to unlawful, harmful, deceptive or infringing content.
- Attempt to interfere with the Site's operation, overwhelm it with automated traffic, or gain unauthorised access to any system.
- Copy, resell, or redistribute the Site itself as a product or service, though linking to it is welcome.
- Use the Site to distribute malware, phishing pages, or content that impersonates another person or organisation.
- Scan or test the Site's vulnerability without our written permission.
We may block or rate-limit access where we believe these terms are being broken.
5. Static QR codes and your responsibility
The QR codes produced here are static: the data is written into the image itself. That has two practical consequences you should understand before printing anything:
- They cannot be edited later. If the destination changes, you need a new code.
- We cannot change or repair them for you. There is no redirect layer we control.
You are responsible for checking that the encoded content is correct and lawful, and for testing the printed code before you rely on it.
6. Sensitive information
QR code images are generated by requesting an image from a public QR endpoint over the internet. Do not encode passwords, private keys, bank credentials or other secrets unless you accept the risk involved.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend the Site for maintenance or security reasons. Where practical we will give notice of significant changes.
8. Accuracy of information
The guides and blog articles on this Site are written for general information. They are not legal, financial or professional advice. Technical standards such as vCard, WiFi and EPC formats evolve, so always verify against the platform you plan to use.
9. Intellectual property
The Site's design, text, code and branding are owned by QrcodeGen.cc or its licensors. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. QR codes you generate are not our intellectual property.
10. Advertising and third parties
The Site is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google. How those partners use cookies is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for websites they link to.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, secure or continuously available, or that every generated QR code will scan on every device.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QrcodeGen.cc and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold QrcodeGen.cc harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Site in breach of these Terms, or from content you encode into a QR code.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@qrcodegen.cc or submitted through the contact page.
